Authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to enter into a Farmers Market Contract Services Agreement for the 2020 Double Up Food Bucks Farmers Market Grant Agreement, subject to Township Attorney approval. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
This will be the sixth season of our Farmers Market's participation in the Double Up Food Bucks program. The Fair Food Network and the Michigan Farmers Market Association (MIFMA) partner to manage this program. The Fair Food Network secures all funding, which is currently from foundations, the USDA, and the State of Michigan. This food assistance program offers up to $20 in bonus tokens per Market for Bridge Card/SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) users to purchase fruits and vegetables.
The Township Attorney will review the agreement prior to implementation. |
