BACKGROUND:
A water leak was discovered earlier this year which resulted in subsequent damage and the growth of mold. Three mold testing companies came out and we were give a protocol to follow for the remediation. Ther remediation consisted of removal of drywall, floor tiles, cabinets, mattresses, etc.
The remediation is now complete and the follow up mold tests have shown no harmful mold.
Quotes have been requested from four companies for the reconstruction but only two of those companies responded back - Belfor and First Onsite. It is recommended that we go with First Onsite as they are a reputable company and the lower bid.
On the recommendation of Building Official Kurt Weiand, I have added a 20% increase in the price to take into account for any unforeseen costs.
