| | | | | | | | BOARD ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to enter into an Agreement with the property owners at 4756 Munger and Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority (YCUA) for Sanitary Sewer Service, subject to Township Attorney approval |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: 4756 Munger Road in Pittsfield Charter Township has a failing septic field. 4756 Munger Road is within Pittsfield Charter Township's Utility Service District. The Township currently does not have a sanitary sewer near this property on Munger Road. The homeowner has consulted with YCUA's engineer and the Township Director of Utilities to seek approval to tap into YCUA's Sanitary Sewer which is able to service the property. A three-party agreement, between the owner of the real property at 4756 Munger Road, Pittsfield Charter Township, and Ypsilanti Community Utilities Authority would allow the property owner to tie into the sanitary sewer owned and operated by YCUA. Pittsfield Charter Township would be responsible to bill and collect payment from the homeowner and report usage and payment to YCUA. In the event the Township’s Sanitary Sewerage System is extended across the parcel located at 4756 Munger Road, the service would be moved onto the Township’s sewerage system |
