| | | | | | | | BOARD ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the purchase of two Ferris ISX3300BVE 40HP/72” deck mowers from Diuble Equipment, Inc., using the State purchasing program for a cost not to exceed $33,198 |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND: Park Maintenance has 5 commercial riding mowers of varying makes, models and styles. The current fleet received two 72-inch replacements in May to insure continued service during mowing season. These new mowers have significantly increased efficiency and productivity of staff in the field. The remaining two 61-inch mowers still are working well but repair and maintenance costs are expected as the mowers start to approach 2500 hours of operation.
The Department of Municipal Services contacted Diuble Equipment, Inc., who is an authorized Ferris product dealer. Staff got quotes for the same Ferris Zero-Turn Mowers (72 inch) the Township Purchased in May. At the August 9th, 2022 meeting, the Park Commission recommended the purchase of two Ferris ISX3300BVE 40HP/72” Deck mowers from Diuble Equipment, Inc., using the State purchasing program at a cost not to exceed $17,599 per mower, with a total amount not to exceed $33,198. This has been forwarded to the Board of Trustees for their consideration.
