| | | | | | | | BOARD ACTION REQUESTED: Authorize the Township Supervisor and Clerk to enter into a software agreement BS&A for a cost not to exceed $235,000, subject to Township Attorney approval |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
BS&A’s Cloud-Based ERP software was designed from the ground up to address the challenges of remote work, 24-hour availability, and ease of use. They have completely rewritten their software to take advantage of web-based technology designed for use in Microsoft Azure data centers. BS&A’s Cloud-Based ERP is designed specifically for local governments. It offers real-time insights, allows us to provide better constituent service, and integrates essential financial and operational functions. For over 30 years, their complete focus has been to provide outstanding software and unparalleled service to their public sector clients.
After meeting with BS&A and getting a full demonstration of the cloud format with all of our department heads, we have found that there are many advantages to upgrading to this platform.
This software service agreement to the Cloud format, not to exceed $235,000 will be a 2023 purchase and will be budgeted for in the 2023 budget.
Break down as follows:
$134,710 for the upgrade to the cloud format for the Financial Management, Utilities Management, Community Development, Assessing, Property Tax modules. We have 12 BS&A modules to upgrade.
$100,290 for the project management and implementation, training, travel and first year hosting fee plus possible contingent fees for additional implementation training as needed. |
