WHEREAS,   The POLC-Command Collective Bargaining Agreements was set to expire December 31, 2021, and

WHEREAS,  The Collective Bargaining Agreement with POAM consists of the following employees:

All full-time certified Police Officers of the Pittsfield Township Department of Public Safety with the rank of patrol officer or temporary acting sergeant.

WHEREAS,  The Township’s Negotiating Team and POAM leadership reached a Tentative Agreement on November 18, 2021, and the Union ratified said agreement on November 24, 2021; The terms and conditions of the ratified agreement are provided in the attachment to the Resolution; and

WHEREAS,  The Negotiating Team met and exceeded the Township strategy interests to include:

• ·         Maintain Staffing and Operations for citizens of Pittsfield Charter Township
• ·         Continue to align benefits across employee groups within the Township to the extent possible

WHEREAS,   This strategy is in keeping with the larger overall vision and fiscal goals for the Township; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Pittsfield Charter Township Board of Trustees approves the One (1) Year Contract Extension to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement with POAM for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2022 as attached hereto and made a part hereof.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms and conditions of the attached finalized one-year extension to the POAM Collective Bargaining Agreement be presented to the Pittsfield Charter Township Supervisor and Clerk who are authorized to sign the agreement.
