Authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to enter into an agreement with Fink & Fink, PLLC for prosecution services for the township, at a flat fee cost of $95,000 for calendar year 2021 and $104,000 for calendar year 2022. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) has utilized Fink & Fink, PLLC for various local legal and township ordinance prosecution services. DPS has been very satisfied with the services provided by Fink & Fink, PLLC. Upon discussing terms of renewal with James Fink, a tentative agreement was reached to continue the current flat-rate fee of $95,000 for calendar year 2021 and $104,000 for calendar year 2022.
The scope of services will include reviewing complaint authorization requests, attending pretrial conferences, hearings, and trials, and negotiating and resolving cases with defendants and their attorneys and families for misdemeanors, civil infractions, and juvenile cases initiated by the police department. Further details are included in the attached proposed letter of engagement. |
