RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE FIRST AMENDED ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION FOR WRRMA


November 10, 2021


At a Regular Meeting of the Township Board of Pittsfield Charter Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan, located at the Township Administration Building, 6201 W. Michigan Avenue, in said Township, on November 10, 2021 at 6:30 PM.

 Present:
 Absent: 

WHEREAS,  Act 179 of 1947, being MCL 123.301 et. seq. (“Act”), enables the incorporation of any two (2) or more cities, villages or townships for the collective management of garbage and rubbish; and

 

WHEREAS, an authority under the Act is authorized by Articles of Incorporation; and

 

WHEREAS, the Articles of Incorporation prescribes and details the process for amending the Articles; and

 

WHEREAS, Pittsfield Charter Township has been a member of the Washtenaw Regional Resource Management Authority since it formed under the Act on September 23rd, 2019; and 

 

WHEREAS, Pittsfield Charter Township has reviewed the First Amended Articles of Incorporation for the Washtenaw Regional Resource Management Authority and find the Articles to be acceptable. 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, Pittsfield Charter Township approves of the First Amended Articles of Incorporation of the Washtenaw Regional Resource Management Authority.
