Authorize the Supervisor and Clerk to enter into a three-year Microsoft Enterprise Agreement for a cost not to exceed $30,800 per year, subject to township attorney approval. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
The township's current Microsoft Enterprise Agreement expires on September 30, 2021. For the past three years the payment was $31,595.87. This agreement covers licensing and Software Assurance (SA) for most Microsoft software used by the township, as well as Microsoft Office software and the server operating systems and software. Examples of these are Microsoft Exchange for email, SQL for database applications (BS&A), and the Windows Server Operating System they run in. Microsoft file servers and the Exchange servers require user Client Access Licenses (CALs) for users to connect to the servers. CALs are included in this agreement as well. |
| | | | | | | | IMPACT ON TOWNSHIP'S HUMAN RESOURCES:
Microsoft software is used in some form by most, if not all, township employees.
IMPACT ON TOWNSHIP'S BUDGET:
Budget 101-259-928 will be used to pay the three annual payments. The first payment will be this year.
IMPACT ON INDIRECT COST:
No impact.
IMPACT ON OTHER TOWNSHIP DEPARTMENTS OR OUTSIDE AGENCIES:
No impact.
CONFORMITY TO TOWNSHIP POLICIES:
This support agreement conforms to current township policies. |
