| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
A catastrophic failure of the main cylinder was discovered during emergency use on a water main break. The staff was able to manually lower the dump box, and the vehicle was immediately removed from service. The 10 yard Caterpillar dump truck is a critical piece of equipment for both daily and emergency operations of the the Utilities Department. The vehicle was taken to Michigan CAT for emergency repairs to replace the failed cylinder and cylinder pump. |
