WHEREAS, Pittsfield Charter Township initiated an update to the Township Master Plan; and 

WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 3839 of the State Planning Enabling Act, on November 19, 2020, the Township notified the required entities explaining that the Township Planning Commission intends to prepare a master plan update and requesting the recipient's cooperation and comment; and 

WHEREAS, after the Township notified the required entities about the intent to update the Township Master Plan, the Township in partnership with the Planning Commission drafted the amended Master Plan language; and 

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the draft Master Plan; and 

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission directed the Township Board to release the draft master for public review;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that in accordance Section 3841 of the State Planning Enabling Act, the Pittsfield Charter Township Board, now directs the Secretary of the Planning Commission to release the draft Master Plan for a 63-day review and comment period, to the required entities; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, those required entities and any other party with an interest in the draft Master Plan have 63-days after the release, to provide comments on the draft Master Plan; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, after the 63-day period review, the Township will consider submitted comments as part of the draft Master Plan.
