BACKGROUND:
As set fourth in Section 2-180 of the Pittsfield Charter Township Code, the Planning Commission shall make an annual written report to the Board of Trustees concerning it's operations and the status of planning activities.
Of the twenty (20) scheduled meetings in 2019, the Planning Commission held fourteen (14). Six (6) meetings were canceled due to a lack of agenda items and/or COVID-19, and one (1) special meeting was held. In 2019, three (3) meetings were canceled, and in 2018, four (4) meetings were canceled. It does not appear that there is any consistent pattern of the dates where meetings have been canceled.
The Planning Commission made thirty-nine (39) motions relating to various items including development applications and Conditional Use Permits. This number is down from forty-eight (48) actions taken in 2019 and from the forty-three (42) actions taken in 2018. Sixteen (16) public hearings were held in 2020.
