Motion to approve the attached Tuition Enrollment Request for Dustin Brighton for the pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Administration. |
| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
Recognizing that advancing the knowledge of our employees is a priority, Pittsfield Charter Township has in place an Educational Assistance Program for the pursuit of college degree programs related to the employee’s position or possible future duties.
Mr. Brighton is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Administration. Pending approval by the Board of Trustees, employees are eligible to be reimbursed up to $1,800 per fiscal year. This request meets the requirements of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Pittsfield Charter Township and the Pittsfield Township Fire Fighters Union (IAFF Local #3008) Section 8 of Article 9. |

Mr. Brighton is currently employed by the Department of Public Safety - Fire. Funding for this request is available.
