| | | | | | | | BACKGROUND:
The Township Board of Trustees approved the assignment of a police officer to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force. The officer works out of an office in Detroit and is assigned a take home vehicle due to the work conducted by the multi-agency unit during and after normal work hours.
The officer assigned to the task force is averaging 30,000 vehicle miles a year and is assigned a 2011 Ford Fusion with over 107,000 miles. Due to the work and participation with the task force, forfeiture funds will be used to cover the cost of the purchase.
To be purchased:
- (1) 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4, 6 cylinder / $28,477.00
